Suntereo is a parental control software for the Internet that allows parents to decide the sites their children and family can view on the Internet. The Problem There are so many different web sites on the Internet with so many different types of content that it is impossible for a software to 100 percent protect your children and family from what you as the parent deem inappropriate content. Companies that approach Internet filtering with fancy fluff like "Sophisticated Content Recognition System" can never really look at the "CONTENT" of a web site because there is NO technology in existence that can reliably evaluate a picture and deem weather it is safe to view or not. Many of these companies even have a full staff browsing the Internet for "objectionable web sites". The thing they don't realize is, they are fighting a loosing battle. None of us who are parents want some stranger deciding where our children could go on the Internet and what they could view. Suntereo is simple, all web sites are blocked from the start. You as the parents show Suntereo what web sites your children and family can visit with a simple "Learning Mode" that is accessed directly from within your web browser. Once you have shown Suntereo the web sites that are ok for your children and family to view, any family member can access them at any time. Suntereo also has a "Bypass Mode" that will allow you as the parent to preview a web site and decide if the content is acceptable for your children and family.
