easyCommentz allows visitors to post questions and comments about individual products directly to the product info page. Administrators can edit/delete comments and have their replies posted onto the same page. Email notifications about new posts can be sent to admin and any previous posters on the same page if they opt in to notifications. Other features include smilies, a rating system and CAPTCHA functionality to prevent spam submissions. HTML tags are also supported as well as non-European fonts. On the admin side, settings can be configured for look-and-feel, enabling smilies, formatting buttons, CAPTCHA and the rating system. Name and email fields can be auto-populated for logged in users and access levels (public or logged-on) can be set separately for viewing and creating comments. Administrators can also add their own comments even if no previous comments have been made. This is useful for providing ad hoc or temporary information about the product. The admin panel is driven by Javascript, meaning that comments can be edited, added or removed without refreshing the page. All comments are listed together and can be sorted according to product name, author name and date submitted. easyCommentz is ideal for adding the kind of information users actually ask for, allowing them to make more informed decisions when purchasing your products. The shareware version contains a licence making this software functional for 14 days.
