Lenovo just released its flagship Z5 Pro GT smartphone in January and it seems the company is pumping out successors just for fun. The Lenovo Z6 Pro, which was teased to show up at MWC 2019 (but didn’t) is expected to be released today in China, as per a teaser from the company. Although, we’re not certain if it will succeed the Z5 Pro GT. Today, Chang Cheng, VP of Lenovo Group, has posted about the Lenovo Z6 Pro (via IT Home) using the hashtag ‘亿级像素’ which translates to billion pixels which translates to 100 MP.

Now despite Qualcomm’s admittance that 100MP cameras are coming, we’d like to keep our expectations in check. The 100MP can be achieved by pixel binning as we’ve yet to learn of a sensor that has 100 billion pixel capacity. Also, Lenovo has a tendency to exaggerate it’s teasing a bit as history has taught us so caution before jumping to conclusions is a better route here.
Lenovo has already confirmed Hyper Video and Super Macro modes in the camera app for the soon-to-launch flagship. The Lenovo Z6 Pro is expected to feature a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and offer up to 12GB of RAM.
